Claire Fitzpatrick

Claire is the current president of RBMS and an environmental scientist with a keen passion for catchments and communities. She has worked in a variety of roles in consulting and public service, and enjoys contributing to strategic management of urban waterways grounded in community values. Claire is based in Perth, where she enjoys getting out on the trails for a hike or bike, finding wildflowers and the best bakeries. She is excited for 12ASM and the Awards Gala to bring together RBMS and its incredible community of waterway nerds like herself.

Geoff is the founder, director and principal scientist for Streamology. He is a certified geomorphology specialist and member of the certification board, a Fellow of the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust, and was president of the RBMS when the awards night was conceived. Geoff was formerly a senior academic at the University of Melbourne focused on publishing the science linking catchment management to waterways in rural and urban settings. Geoff’s passion is in understanding and communicating how working with rivers enables improved management and protection. If not at his desk or travelling for work you will most likely find him on a bike or skis in the mountains with family and friends.
