Over four days we welcomed river scientists, waterway managers, catchment practitioners, policy makers and students from across Australia and beyond, all exploring what it means to be living and evolving with change.

It was a fitting year to gather – 12ASM marked 30 years of the Australian Stream Management Conference and the 40th anniversary of the River Basin Management Society. From Monday's icebreaker through to the closing ceremony on Wednesday, the program kept returning to the same question: where should the next 30 years take us?
